Spratt Memorial Stadium
Griffon Football, Soccer and Lacrosse call Craig Field at Spratt Memorial Stadium home. The stadium opened its doors in September of 1979 with a 44-0 Griffon victory over Dana College.
Griffon Soccer played its first contest in Spratt in September of 2006 after conducting the first season in program history at Riverside Soccer Complex.
In November of 2014, the announcement of planned renovations to the stadium was made. An estimated $7.8 million in improvements are planned to be complete by the fall of 2015. In August of 2015, the announcement of a $2.6 million video board was made. The 2,500 square foot display will be the largest in NCAA Division II and was made possible by the largest individual gift in MWSU Athletics history. Steve Craig donated $1.1 million toward the project and became the namesake of Craig Field at Spratt Memorial Stadium.
SPRATT STADIUM RENOVATION INFORMATION
The stadium is named in memory of avid Griffon supporter Eliiot "Bub" Spratt and was constructed at a total cost of $850,000. Lights were added to the facility in 1985 as the Griffons defeated Missouri-Rolla 24-15 on September 4, 1985.
The stadium complex has gone through major renovations with the installation of a ProGrass synthetic field turf in 2006 and increased seating capacity to 10,000 following the renovation of the visitors' side seating in September of 2009 and can also accommodate spacious hillside seating. In addition to Griffon Football and Soccer, the Spratt Stadium Complex is the home of the Kansas City Chiefs Summer Training Camp, the St. Joseph High School Football Jamboree and formerly was the host of the Missouri State High School Eight Man Football Championship.
Prior to occupying Spratt Stadium, MWSU played its home football games at Noyes Field, a city-owned facility in midtown St. Joseph.

Griffon Indoor Sports Complex
On July 21, 2010, the Griffon Indoor Sports Complex was completed and officially opened. The facility serves Griffon football, softball, baseball, soccer, men's golf and women's golf teams, and is the summer training camp home of the Kansas City Chiefs. The facility features a full 100-yard turf indoor field, a state-of-the-art locker room for the Griffon football team, which can accommodate up to 120 players, as well as coaches offices, a dedicated weight training facility for Griffon student-athletes, meeting rooms, a 120 seat theater, equipment room and athletic training room. The facilities available to Griffon student-athletes rival those of any collegiate or professional sports organization.
Indoor Field
The major "wow" factor of the facility is the indoor field portion of the complex. The field includes markings for football and soccer. Overhead netting allow the Griffon softball, baseball and golf teams to conduct practices if needed. The facility is large enough to accommodate a regulation softball field. Climate control affords comfortable practice conditions 365 days a year.
Herzog Strength Training Room
The 5,500 square foot Herzog Strength Training Room is located adjacent to the indoor field. The latest technology in Hammer Strength Equipment lodged with Griffon decals is available for the exclusive use by Griffon Student-Athletes.
Athletic Training Room
The professional quality training room features ample taping stations, training tables and other equipment essential to the health of student-athletes. A triage area is located in the room of the room along with two walk-in hydro therapy pools.

Griffon Football Locker Room
Announced in the summer of 2023, Griffon Football renovated their locker room with multiple new perks to help players feel like they have a second home inside the Griffon Indoor Sports Complex.
The football locker room's new assets include personalized monitors above each players' locker, new LED lights throughout the room, new furniture and a player lounge area.

Nutrition Station
Missouri Western Athletics unveiled its first-ever Nutrition Station in June of 2024, which adds another visual element to the revamped Sports Performance department. The station, located inside the GISC's Strength and Conditioning Center will provide fuel to more than 400 student-athletes.
Funding for the station was provided by Lisa Norton, president of Biozyme Incorporated and it's a natural fit. Biozyme is an industry leader in agriculture and offers supplements and animal health products. Biozyme's motto is "Care That Comes Full Circle".
